The sculpture is in front of the Elko City Hall Building located at 1751 College Avenue in Elko, Nevada and was designed by Joann Anderson and Jacques Errecart and fabricated by Taylor Made Iron Services. The artists designed the sculpture with four purposes: to honor firefighters, police officers and other emergency workers lost in the wreckage of 9/11; to remember the victims and families of the terrorist attacks; to support local firefighters, police officers, and emergency services; and to celebrate America’s freedom. Also installed in the Monument is a piece of steel beam that is a remnant of the World Trade Center.
